This time we look at how we grow with God through Baptism by looking at the Function, Meaning, and Mode of Baptism. We see that Baptism was given by God as a covenant sign to represent union with Christ and his people, and the spiritual cleansing, renewal, and consecration performed by the Holy Spirit. It was given to strengthen faith in Christ and distinguish God’s visible people from the world.
